What happens if information provided is inaccurate?

  • You must provide us with truthful and accurate information when applying for your membership. It's important to check the information you provided in your application and tell us of any inaccuracies before or immediately after your membership is issued. Failure to do so may either mean that your cover is not suitable or invalidate your membership entirely meaning the Islamic burial Foundation will not cover any subsequent funeral.

What happens if you miss a monthly payment?

  • Your membership will stop 29 days after your first missed donation was due. It will have no value and you will no longer be covered.

What length of time will my membership run for?

  • Your membership will run for as long as you decide you would like cover.

What happens if I want to make changes to my membership?

  • If you need to change your membership, we will let you know if this is possible. Depending on the changes you want to make, we may need to set up a new membership for you.

Will you cover the cost for catering and flowers?

  • We will only cover the cost of the funeral, this includes: casket, transportation, shroud, and earth grave.

What happens if I die abroad?

  • Your membership does not extend outside of the UK

What is our policy on repatriation?

  • Upon request we can repatriate a member back to their homeland, however, once the body leaves the UK, we no longer take the responsibility for the deceased.

Will I get anything if I die within 12 months?

  • Yes, we will provide a free funeral service, but the grave will be billed at cost.
